Common Man

Remember child, you asked me
To reveal myself to you
You asked, to see my face
But you didn’t have a clue
When did I see you, Lord
You asked so innocently
Knowing you have eyes
But you’re blind, and can not see
I was the beggar
You passed by on the street
I was the homeless guy
With little food to eat
I was the young lady
You ignored on the back pew
The one whose dark and messy
She looked nothing like you do
I was the rejected person
Whose life was upside down
The one, with such bad habits
The one – no one wants around
I am like a diamond
Hidden in grains of sand
When you look – you’ll find me
In the face of common man
